Podcast Manager (Part-Time)
2 days per week | Melbourne-based (hybrid)
As we continue to expand our content offering, we’re growing our presence in the podcast space — both for our own brand and for our clients.
The Role
We’re looking for a Podcast Manager to join the team on a part-time basis (approximately 2 days per week), leading the end-to-end production and distribution of our agency podcast Can I Buy You a Coffee, while also supporting client podcast strategy.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how podcasts are created, distributed, and consumed — and who can turn long-form conversations into high-performing, multi-platform content.
Key Responsibilities
Podcast Production & Management
- Manage the end-to-end production of 2–4 podcast episodes per month
- Edit podcast audio to a high standard (clean, engaging, and on-brand)
- Write compelling show notes optimised for discoverability
- Upload and schedule episodes via podcast hosting platforms
Content & Distribution
- Create short-form video and audio cutdowns for social media
- Schedule and distribute podcast content across social platforms
- Develop supporting content assets (e.g. quotes, audiograms, visuals)
- Ensure each episode is strategically distributed to maximise reach and engagement
Strategy & Advisory
- Support client podcast initiatives with strategic guidance and recommendations
- Stay across podcast trends, formats, and distribution strategies
- Work closely with the Head of Social Media to evolve MSC’s podcast offering
About You
- Highly organised and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
- Passionate about podcasts and the evolving audio/content landscape
- Strong understanding of podcast platforms, distribution, and growth strategies
- Confident in audio editing (and ideally basic video editing for social cutdowns)
- A strong instinct for what makes content engaging and worth listening to
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Why Join MSC
- Be part of a fast-growing, social-first agency working with premium brands
- Opportunity to shape and grow our podcast offering from the ground up
- Work in a creative, collaborative, and supportive team environment
- Flexibility with part-time structure
Want to Join Us?
Instead of a traditional application, we’d love to see a short pitch deck from you.
Tell us:
-
Why you’d be a great fit for Melbourne Social Co and this role
-
How you would help drive the agency’s success during this next stage of growth
We’re less interested in perfect résumés and more interested in people who can think creatively, communicate ideas clearly, and show initiative.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Please send us your pitch to careers@melbournesocialco.com.au with the job title you’re applying for as the subject line.
Due to the volume of enquiries, only successful candidates will be contacted to organise an interview.
